About Add Page Numbers
Add Page Numbers puts a number on the pages of your PDF without any signup. Unlike tools that make you guess, you see every page in a live preview. Click a corner, choose a format and watch the number appear on each page before you press the button.
You can number all pages or only a range, start from any number, change the font, size, colour and distance from the edge, and choose formats such as Page 1 of 10 or roman numerals.
Page numbering made simple: top right, bottom center and more
The position picker has six places: top left, top center, top right, bottom left, bottom center and bottom right. Bottom center is the most common choice for reports and books. Top right is popular for letters, assignments and legal papers.
Click a position and the preview shows the number in that spot on every page. If it covers part of your text, increase the margin or choose another corner.
Number formats you can choose
Plain numbers (1, 2, 3), Page 1, 1 of 10, Page 1 of 10, 1 / 10, - 1 -, lower case roman (i, ii, iii), upper case roman (I, II, III) and a custom text where you can write your own words with {n} for the number and {t} for the last number.
Skip the cover page or paginate a PDF in parts
To paginate a PDF without numbering the cover, set From page to 2. To number only a section, set both From page and To page. You can run the tool again on the result to number another section in a different style.
